I'm having my whipple installed soon. Is a 275x40x18 tire ok? I just talked to someone at stage 3 mustangs and he said I might want to look at 305x35's... but that sounds like overkill. What do you guys think?

you'll be fine with 275's. just remember more rubber = more area to grip. i went with 295's

I think 305 is a bit much. Like Dex said, 295 would probably be best (if you upsized). Do you have the upper and lower LCAs? Or anything else for suspension upgrades? Might want to consider that route first.

305 is not too much. You can never have too much tire. I'd run 355's if I could.

What size rims? the bigger the rubber the better.. I saw these335/30/18 on 11" rims on a S197....tucked in very nice under the wheelwell..






I like the stock bullits, so I'm a bit stuck... got some BFG DRs in 265/40/18 much improved traction

I have 275/40/18's with a vortech, and like it. Plus I can rotate my tires, and fills our big wheelwell up nicely.

Ok, guess its more a matter of opinion on the size then. "The bigger the rubber the better"???
I dont know a whole lot about tires..... but dont you lose a little bit of street performance when going wide though? I have my stock tires still and yes I do have a problem with traction but have begun to correct this. As for 305 and 335, personally, I wouldnt go that wide....
