I was thinking about replacing the amber front signal lense with a clear lense and replacing the red rear side marker lense with a clear one. I think the "clear look" suits a black car.

I'm having a problem finding bulbs for the clear lenses. I've purchased Sylvania Silverstar bulbs for my headlights and fog lights so I looked to Sylvania for a signal light bulb that is amber. They have a signal light bulb for the car, but it's clear. The bulb needed is a 3157 - Amber. With a clear rear side marker lense, I'd need a red bulb - or some other color. Ford calls this bulb a W5W and Sylvania call it a 2825. Trouble is, they only have clear.

Has anyone out there solved the colored bulb problem for their clear lenses?

I've searched and searched (eBay), and have yet to find a chrome/red bulb in the size we'd need for that side rear light. Good luck though!

 

Just leave them clear..looks way cooler anyway..

Advance Auto and AutoZone sell the red side-marker bulbs and the Silver-when-off/Amber-when-illuminated Silverstar corner bulbs. Don't waste your money ordering them online, you can simply pick them up from your local parts store.
