+1 on the tune and CAI first. Get the gears once you've had time to find a good shop that can install them.

You want to go with FRPP when you do buy gears.

I've seen people quote costs as much as $500.00 just depends.

13.5??? well without the tubes youd get like 13.6 maybe?if i go to the track id get like maybe 13.9 maybe 13.8 at best. I learned how to shift really well wit auto. I sometimes chirp goin into second. I can tell i shift perfect because it pull forward 2nd and 3rd. But my rev limiter gets me sometimes. I think if i get the TuneI can Shift much better. If i dont get the wheels defanantly ima get the tune and intake. It seems safer then the gears. Thanks Guys!!

Get the CAI and tuner first. You will need the tuner to recalibrate your speedometer when you get the gears installed.

If its track times you want then as myself and evryone has said get the cai/tune first. The tune does not just increase HP but it improves throttle response and shift points which will improve your times. I'm gonna suggest you call either Brenspeed or B.amachips and talk to either one or both about improving the performance on your stang.

Stop shifting manually when running the 1/4 mile once tuned correctly you will only hurt your times by shifting manually the computer WILL do it better. If your running a road course then shifting manually is not a bad idea as the auto can tend to have you in a cruising gear like fifth when you need to be in like say 3rd but if your running the 1/4 mile the computer shifts better.

OK lesson #1: All mustang GT's(I'm assuming you have a GT)come with the standard ford 8.8" rear end you dont need to change it. Is your car an auto or a manual tranny? that will play a part in your gear decision.

Now w/o trying to be a jerk I will suggest you read these forums and your owners manual to learn more about your car before putting any money into mods, you will be much happier when done.
Agreed,

You need to learn a lot before you seriously begin to even think about modding your car. You will end up with thing you do not need or want if you go at modding with your current plan. You have got to learn about the car. Not trying to be rude or mean just trying to save you a lot of headaches. ALso since you have th Auot Tranny I would suggest 3.73 and I agree with others start your mods with the CAI & Tuner.

I have the FRPP Gears but some else stated get the cai/tune cuz u will need the tuner to change the gear ratio once you decide to get gears.. because you will. I told myself I just wanted some AB's and a CAI but nope i got more and planning and getting more now. HAVE FUN and yeah read make sure you know what you are getting because at the end it is your car

You should learn what you have currently equipped on your car before being allowed to purchase anything for it.....

Alot of people have "gear whine" trouble with motive I would go with the FRPP's if I were you
