they also recommend Motorcraft oil - not Royal Purple

When I had my Focus, I had the dealer do all the oil changes using the Motorcraft synthetic blend, every 5,000 miles like the manual said. With 100,000 miles on the car, the oil was still on the full mark and was so clean after 5,000 miles I could barely see the oil on the stick. Im not sure if it was the synthetic blend oil or if it was just the Zetec engine, but I was impressed.
