Just ordered my Hurst STS!
Well, I finally broke down and bought one of the Hurst STS about ten minutes ago
. I ordered it from Brenspeed so hopefully I will get it soon[sm=burnout.gif]. How long did it take yall to get yours when you ordered it? Anyone know the thread pattern for it? I want to buy a black shift **** after seeing the post about thembut I dont know what size.

Im still trying to figure it out for the black ball. With regards to figuring out this black ball problem, you could almolst say that I'm getting blue balled trying to figure it out.
I got mine from Brenspeed and it took about 4 days. It all depends on where you are located and what is the zone for delivery from them to you.
Install is straight forward and I would recommend you do it with a friend. Alone is doable but and unnecessary pain in the a$$. Just jack up one side of the car to be able to slide under. And remember, when you are pulling the stock sgifter out, tuck it as far forward as you can and pull the unit out a$$ first. Put the Hurst in the same way as stock came out and as suggested by others, use locktite on the allen bolts that attach shifter to the chrome stick. You will feel weird at 1st, but after a day or 2 you wont be able to go back to a stock shifter. Enjoy and Congrats.

This should help and they should have it at Summit,
The Hurst shifter uses a 3/8-16 thread.
163-0108 is a black 5 speed ball with 3/8-16 thread.
163-0125is a black 5 speed ball with 3/8-16 thread and the Hurst name on it.
163-0114 is a black 5 speed ball with a 12mm x 1.75 thread that will fit
the stock Mustang shifter.

I just installed mine, got it from brenspeed in three days.
So far I am more then thrilled about it. I found it easier to drop the front driveshaft & install everything from the bottom. The instructions say you can pull it through the console, but like I said, take out the driveshaft if you have access to a lift & air tools.
