My car ('05 GT 11K miles) recently developed an annoying buzz/rattle that seems to be coming from the center stack / air vents. I can't pin point the location and the sound is driving me nuts. It happens over semi uneven pavement and even when the road "seems" smooth.

I've already had the TSB for the passenger air bag/a-pillar completed - this noise is not the same and comes from a different area.

Since this rattle seemed close to TSB 06-4-1 "rattle noise from center stack / gear shift arae" and the fix was easy enough (worm clamps on the exhaust hanger isolator) I'd figure I'd give it a shot. No luck - there is still a freaking rattle coming from the same spot.

I've tried the search feature and can't locate something similar. Anyone got suggestions or had a similar problem fixed?

The screws in my Hurst shifter (2 screws where the handle is attached to the linkage)started backing out and it made a pretty annoying rattle at certain RPM's. Used the red Loc tite and haven't had a problem since then...

 

I have the same problem with the noise somewhere in my dash
