I noticed the back firing as well once I installed my SLP LM's. It would back fire when cold even before the SLP's, I just didn't notice it as much. Recently I have found that running 91 octane seems to help.
Ya, it def happened before the LM's, but no where near as loud. I dont mind now, and once i get the CAI/tune, it will run a little leaner and get rid of it....
Forgive me for sounding dumb, but what is CAI and where would I buy the best tune? I am getting the loudmouths here in a week.
Hey, CAI is a cold air intake, it replaces the stock air box/filter. I do no have a tune, but from what I have read, Brenspeed.com has some of the best tunes available. I have heard particularly good things about the Steeda and C&L intake. The loudmouths are great, I giggle like a little girl everytime I step on the gas....
Ok an acronym(?).... I already have a "CAI" from AEM, I just had no idea what the acronym was lol! But, I don't know to much about tuneing. I know that Brenspeed does have the best from what I hear, but what exactly does it do and what is the process? If I was to get a 93 tune, does that mean I will need to use 93 fuel? What else can I do with it? Thank you.
Yeah my LM backfires and pops like in the morning or when's its cold... I love it when it does it though, if I put a CAI on my car will it not do that anymore??
