So when you de-badge a car and up the performance, it's called a sleeper - a word that is generally used in a positive light. But you put other badges on it - ones you happen to like more than the ones that came on the car - and it's called posing.

I happen to like what you're doing to the car - for whatever my opinion is worth.

When someone else starts making your car payments, then let them tell you how to badge it. Just my $.02...

Do what you want. You are obviously very creative. I loved your Mach 1 design. People got mad and said there isn't such a thing as a 2005 Mach 1. Who cares looked great. That new emblem looks awesome by the way. Judging on your past design I can't wait to see the new one completed. People tend to forget that the GT is a lot closer in HP to a V6 then a GT 500. So forget about the haters continue to be creative.

When I first built my car in early 05 - there wasn't any GT500's out and I thought I was being creative doing an early GT500 'tribute'. I modified the roush body kit with eleanor pieces and cobra badged the car.

Now I certainly back it up power wise because I am a lot faster than a real GT500...lol

BUT - I get asked at least a DOZEN TIMES every night at the track, "is that a real GT500?" and I always go into my explanation of building the car before the GT500's were out. Despite the fact they just saw a street car run ridiculous fast, they immediately always focus on the badging and the car not being a 'real' GT500.

Now I certainly don't give two craps about what anyone thinks about my car especially when it's as fast as it is, but it definitely is looked down upon on real life on the street in public settings. Remember I'm much faster than a GT500 and my car gets scrutinized for it, I couldn't imagine the thoughts of the badging on a truly slow car.

Do what makes you feel good is always the motto, but sometimes feeling good and looking stupid go together unfortuenately.

I just got my new hood I was waiting on before I custom painted some new stripes so now that it's going to the BS, I'm stripping ALL cobra badging off my car but that's just me. If you like it - then have fun with it and enjoy.

Welllll.....

Also, I plan to get the CS6 front bumper and grill, which has "Shelby" on the grill. If the Shelby doesn't come off, OH WELL! So what would that make me? Hmmmm... a GT, blown with 440+ HP, Shelby Torque Thrust wheels, and CS6 front bumper and eventuall a GT500 spoiler. What a conundrum! I don't care about who doesn't like the combo. IT WILL LOOK GREAT!

I think "drop" is an over simplication of the task ....

So first you're a Mach I and now you're a GT500, all while in actuality you are a V6... Why?
Just to annoy you of course!
Mission accomplished! J/K

That's called a CS8, which does look great and is not posing in the general sense of the word because Shelby produced the kit for V6's or V8's to put on their car as a "build your own Shelby" type deal.
