Don't really need to pry anything, just squeeze the sides of the boot where it connects to the console and it comes right off.

Thanks I have that part. I can remove the boot from the console and I can remove the **** from the shifter. However, the boot is attached to the shift **** and I can figure out how it comes a part. I know it's probably something easy. I just cant get it![:@][:@]

Just grab the boot in one hand, the shifter in the other, and pull apart. It's just held on with a rubber o-ring.
