and according to that, k&n and mobile1 are in the middle quality range. why not just spend the $3-$4 for a good quality motorcraft.

Thats a great point, in fact I am doing just that. I have 1 K&N left but after that i will be using motorcraft....I like the FRPP but at that cost I cant justify it.

Listen to Taco Bill (I'm trusting his step by step when changing the springs and cutting the hood)!

I swapped to Mobil 1 @ 500 miles and changed again @ 5K. First filter was a Puro 1, this time a FRPP filter (gift from son).

I did my first oil change on the Stang on Friday after work. I put in Amsoil's 0W-20 ASM and an Amsoil filter. I've been using Mobil1 in my SUV for the past 100,000 miles andam happy with it but I I think Amsoil makes a superior product (but it's too expensive for my daily ride, the SUV) but just fine for the Stang.
