Default So am I over thinking this strange noise??

Ok, so about a week or so ago, I started a thread asking people for info about the sound they were getting before having their clutch paks replaced. Here is that thread....

https://mustangforums.com/m_3585841/tm.htm

While some of the responses sounded somewhat like what I was getting, it still just didn't quite match.....Now, the strange noise is still there, but it has picked up some new characteristics....

1. It seems to replicate itself right at 2500 RPM, usually under power, sometimes on decel...

2. It is happening not only following turns, but straight away as well....

3. Starting to sound somewhat "kazoo-ish"...

4. Seems to be more severe when running a more agressive tune...

So, are one of my Flows getting ready to take a dump?? 15K on the car, and I've had the Flows on for about 18 months or so, which definately falls into the time period when people were having lots of problems...

For those that have had the Flowmaster failure, did yours go south all at once, or did it work it's way up to it?? Did you definately have rattling inside the muffler when you pounded on it??
I guess the only way I will know for sure is to swap the factory cans back on, but not sure if I want to go through the effort yet.....

Anyone??

Thx,
Mike

is it mostly on wind down? it might be in/out pressure fighting. most axlebacks make noises on wind down.
