um, isn't there stuff in Sweden to take the edge off leaving your mustang at home, like big-breasted blondes, hash, etc? hehe...

I think you actually believe all that stuff you see on TV, don't you?[sm=icon_rofl.gif] I am having fun visiting with family. My wife is Swedish, and we're visiting her sister. I have seen some beautiful women, but mostly on TV. [sm=drooldude.gif] We have had some good food, too. Oh, that's probably not the hash you're referring to... I've been taking lots of pictures, mostly of old churches.[sm=Flahssssss.gif]

If you put chili powder on the car cover , it would keep the cats off.

LOL, well Stockholm might be a little "loose". But Stockholm is in the south part of Sweden, and we're way up north about 150 km south of the arctic circle in Piteå. Tomorrow, we will drive my sister-in-law's 1982 Audi 5E to another town, Arjeplog, that is right at the arctic circle. Folks around here are mostly pretty simple country people.

Here's a picture of the old family place, Rebakudden, where we'll be staying. I took it during our last visit.

We will probably also drive over into Norway through the mountains. I'm glad I didn't meet the truck in the picture below going around the curve. We were parked in a pullover when I took it.

It's a Nikon D200. It is a nice camera, but it is also a bit pricey. The price has come down since it was introduced, though. You can get one for around $1500 for just the camera, or $2000 or more if you buy a kit with an included lens.

Yeah, the arctic circle is just a line on the map. But the daylight / nighttime thing sure is strange to us folks who live in places like Texas. I do appreciate the temperatures, though. It's supposed to be 104 F / 40 C in Dallas, Texas today, but here the temperature right now is 63 F / 17 C here in Piteå, Sweden, and the high today is supposed to be about 15 C today in Arjeplog. Of course, as you know, the downside to that is that in December, it can get down to -50 C, and I'm sure your temperatures are comparable. I don't envy you with that part of your weather.
