Im about to install the JLT CAI andload my custom tune via SCT xcal 2 which changes the octane from 87 to 91 and Im not sure when I should be actually putting the higher fuel in.The tank is almost completelyempty and I figured I would install CAI, loadthe tune, then drive overto the gas station and out in the higher octane. Isthat the right way?

put 93 in when you are at 0, then load the tune later

Install the CAI and load the 87 tune. Then go get 91 or 93, run it for a bit and switch the tune. Or go get the higher octane now before installing the CAI, drive it for a bit and then install the CAI and load your 91.

I ran two tanks of 93 octane before I loaded my 93 tune. Probably overkill, but I figure better safe than sorry.

Fill her up with the highest octane available then load the tune and installed the intake. Just don't install the intake without loading a tune.
