MRT and CDC are the same peice but I got mine from MRT because they offered the brackets in powder-coated black. It looks better than chrome on my black car. They do not require drilling.


+1 I have my eye on the MRT's for just that reason but am waitng sincde b-day and x-mas are coming and I have plenty of other stuff to buy that others wont lol

Mine required drilling...and I'm glad. I would not trust a bracket that is overtly manipulated to try and reuse factory bolts.

Not to jump this thread but to wingman........Everytime i open my hood i see those damn white circle clips that are shown on the picture of your hood struts, have any idea what they are or better yet, what they do?

That's been asked before and I can't remember what was said. They are left over parts from assembly but why they are there no one could say. Just ignore them... but don't expect them go away.

CDC here. I like the stainless steel look. Took the dremel + stainless steel metal polish to the brackets.. threw on some polished bolt caps... and called it a day. Nice fit... easy install... no drilling.

They look perfect on your car. Black is perfect for mine. Nice job.

I bought the CDC hood struts and hood pins installed at CDC open house for $100..

you can get some on Ebay for 80 bucks.
