They're all easy fixes. The only issue I see you having is when replacing a cluster you have to order one and have the mileage loaded to it from the vender. We won't allow a car to leave when waitng for the part because then the mileage won;t match. Usually we can get them the next day though if ordered in th A.M.
I didn't know that about the mileage! I wish they would have told me. They said I could take it in after Wednesday next week. Any chance you think I could leave it there and they could give me a rental or a loaner? I'm not too worried about the door handles or the brakes squeal, I just want the speedo and the fuel gauge fixed most importantly...

The senders are quick and easy. They might give you a rental it's hard to say though. We do at my work for things like this since it's no fault on yours. Some dealerships let the car leave though and try to guess on the return mileage. Thats a big no no to me though.

I will bring it up to the service manager tonight when I pick the car up from inspection. All the replacements will only be a day's work. But it will be a couple days before the parts come in. Thanks for your input

I agree, you will always need some kind of MAJOR service the first mile after the warranty expires!

Actually, I hadn't thought of it until late last night! I would love that...to have all 8 gauges. I was going to ask him when he calls this afternoon. How much would an uprage cost ya think?

I wish I could continue the warranty after my 72K miles are up Then again, it might be pointless considering it will be mostly wear and tear problems after that I'm expecting.

The warranty work is covered. I'll have a new instrument cluster, fuel level sensor and a Shaker 500 replacement. I was too late to ask about upgrading to a 8 gauge cluster..oh well. She goes in Thursday or Friday for the work

Took the car into Ford today! [sm=happy046.gif]

It's been irritating not knowing my true fuellevel and speed LOL! I'll update when I get her back tomorrow.
