Casper, My car lately has had a hesitation as I roll into the throttle at any speed. Sometimes it goes away. I have 7800 miles on it and you can see my mods below. When it hesitates you can hear a flutter from the CAI. Is this the charge motion valves acting up? If I push past the hesitation it will clear up and excellerate. I know the first thing the factory will say is that I modified it and thats the problem. I've heard of the motion plates causing problems before. It sounds like the bog you hear from a four barrel carb opening up. All of my throttle response is gone when this happens. I don't believe it is the re-flash causing it. ANy ideas? Thanks for the help.

Thats NOT what the manual says LOL
ORIGINAL: Casper98GT

WHAT!!!! ^^^^ Whats that mean. ?? lol

Casper, so do you recommend not putting the Underdrive Pulleys on due to possible damage and noise? Also, this may be a stupid question but is it only associated with the Steeda pullys?

Last question. If I use, let's say, the SCT XCalibrator Flash Device, will this suffice or should I still take it somewhere for a Dyno run/tune?

Thanks

JC
Sorry i have better things to do than spend my time on the internet.
But i would recommend the SHM pulleys more than i would Steeda. Also the Xcalib is a good unit. I would recommend it.

1400 miles first oil change??????// Read your manual!!!
^^ Thats recommended by FORD. You can change youre oil when ever you would like. lol

But if you looked at the oil in your first oil change you would see a lot of break in metal. Your not going to hurt anything by changing it early the first time. I wouldn't want to count on an oil filter to catch all the break in metal.

It kinda sounds like you think you're breaking some kind of law by changing the oil too early. Umm, alright? Every 5K miles is for normal conditions but also if you do traffic and stop-go driving you'll want to earlier. I'm still gonna do mine 3K-4K miles because of my driving.

I do mine when ever i feel like it. lol. Sometimes 1k miles, sometimes 4k miles. Stop making such a huge deal!!!!

TD1320... Sounds like maybe i would reflash the computer. Try it again. sounds like the pcm isnt allowing the throttle plate to open when you giv it slight gas.

I do not see anything in the manual about stop and go driving. I also see nothing about changing it early the first time. I imagine there is a reason they do not put that in there....I think Ill trust the guys who made the car rather than a forum. Thats just me though.

Keep digging, you will get out of that hole eventually…

You still haven’t made one valid point as to why I shouldn’t change my oil early for the break in period, you ridiculed my plan as something I shouldn’t do, but can only point to the idiot instructions that come with the car as the source of your knowledge. You know the ones, d= drive p= park, lights on, lights off, push here for horn…

Maybe someday you will make a good point, but so far you haven’t.
I hate to see you struggle so let me suggest a few that might work

Its:
Wasteful
Harmful to the environment
Funds terrorist activities
Expensive

Of course they have nothing to do with my car, but you painted yourself into a corner on that one

I'm kind of lost too.. all this to change the oil early.. I think its a good idea to do it early. I am going to do mine at 1K then the next one at 2K and stay at 3K from there on... sounds like a plan [sm=bangbang.gif]

P.S> Capser kicks butt!! WOOOT
