Ohhh good grief...

I like the charges on here that we like our spoilers 'cause of peer pressure and others in our age group so we all want to keep up with the "Joneses"...etc, etc....

I'm 41. When I was a kid every muscle car (including both of mine) had a spoiler. If it didn't - it was a panzy car

There was no way my "new" pony car wasn't going to have a spoiler.

And I have looked at them side by side with and without.

To be honest, I don't think I'm going to stripe my car as I had planned because I don't like the way it looks with the spoiler (ie, wing). That is one area where it does look better to me either without a spoiler or with a ducktail - if you are striping the car all the way down the bumpers.

My 05 Gt has the spoiler, I wouldn't have it any other way. I noticed on dealer had 3 GT's come in, all with spoiler delete. Who ever orders there must not like them ??

I doubt it's very functional.
I disagree, mine blocks those tailgaters so I don't have to see them. Ha !! J/K

No Spoiler! Just my opinion, mind you. I think the new stang looks great both ways. I have only owned one mustang previously (a '95),
I had no spoiler then and my 2005 will arrive next month spoiler-less. I think if I were racing, I might want it. I'm not, and I don't think I'll be getting airborn anytime soon from sheer exceleration. Spoilers are pretentious.

Lets look at this

"Best looking Mustang ever was the Boss 429 and it had no spoiler. Dems 'da facts and not just opinion"

"Best looking Mustang ever was the Boss 429" = OPINION

Lubie,

Have no idea, call steeda. I can't imagine why they would use a different location.

"1969 was the second major restyling of the Mustang. All dimensions were changed except the wheelbase. The fastback style was now renamed the SportsRoof, and it came with simulated rear side scoops and rear spoiler."

The 2005 is a copy of the 1969 no matter what Ford says. It should have a spoiler on it.

The 05s are the first Mustangs since the LX notches I prefer w/o a spoiler.
