which shifter and axle ratio for 2007 mustang Gt
Hi I have a 2007 Mustang Gt 5-speed Which shifter do you recommend.,What do you think of the steeda trx ax Also How about 4.56:1 ring and pinon sets ??/ because now with 3.55;1 It is way to high geared Thanks

Yeah, 4.56 is way overkill for these cars. go with 4.10 or 4.30 if you really want. Most shifters for these cars people like. For top of the line, most will recommend MGW, but I have a Hurst myself, and love it.

Hurst Shifter, + 3.73 or 4.10's are the most popular combo's here. A lot of highway driving, would be the determining factor for your gear choice. But I would agree that 4.56 would be a bit much........Whichever you choose will be an improvement over the 3.55's.

I'd say 4.10s for the gears...I have the hurst but if you're big into speed shifting and street/strip I'd say get the mgw shifter. ps nobody sells it, you have to order it direct from mgw.

The MGW shifter is by far the best shifter on the market for the S197 mustangs. The quality is superior.
AS far as gears, I haven't done mine yet but I plan on going with 4.10s. That seems to be the standard these days.
