thanks for all the input guys i really appreciate it...one more thing....i had knee surgery 6 weeks ago and i havent been able to drive the car, so its been sitting in the garage this whole time....should i change the oil before i take it back out because its sitting so long? or is 6 weeks not enough time for the acids in the oil to build up? Thanks again.

Not enough time. Now if it had sat for 3 months or longer, then yes, change it.
because when i used to store my other car all winter after doing a lot of searching around i found out that starting a car that is being stored once a week can cause condensation buildup in the gastank.

That won't do it. When you store a car, the fuel tank needs to be FULL so that no rust can start in it. If you do start it once a week, the engine temp needs to come up to get condesation out of the oil.

Back in the 'ole days, they used to say 3 months or 3000 miles, whichever comes first. The 3 months was because of the acids that build up in oil after it has run for a spell. Corrosives sitting around and being re-circulated is a bad thing.
