Default cheap PI torque converters

Im trying to find me a pi torque converter 2900 stall. I contacted PI and they gave me 735 bucks(100 of my budget)for it and its built from scratch.
so my question isdo they come any cheaper? where can i find site that sell them cheaper?

I think the only way you will find it cheaper is used and you really don't want to go that route. IMO, I wouldn't waste my money on a 2900 stall, the stock stall is 2450 so you will barely feel a difference...

yup specially if its going to be sent half world away, just save the extra 100 bucks and i'd say 3,200 stall atleast.

on a NA engine the reccommended stall is 2800-3200 on a single disk PI TC for a daily driver: On a FI engine the reccommended stall 3000-3400 on a multi disk PI TC. a single disk will run you 675 (on sale) to 800 norm whereas a multi disk can be had in the neighborhood of 800 (sale) to 950...
you will feel the difference at 2800 over stock TC. good luck, no matter what you choose....
