I'd be interested in hearing delivery time quotes that people are getting for ordering '05 Convertible GTs.

My local dealer is saying that the price for an ordered convertible will be MSRP, but that the first convertibles on their lot will have a premium applied to them.

 

My GT Vert is expected to be delivered next week. Can't wait. MSRP, here.

I am the first one in Ottawa to have ordered this convertible. My dealer have entered my order in the computer on the 07 Jan 05 right after they release the price from the Detroit show back in Jan 05 . I was given a serial number for my car on the 08 Feb 05 and the date for them to start to build it will be is the 21 Feb 05 and ETA should be 21 March 05.

The dealer told me that I was very lucky that I will be getting my convertible in March 05. MyFord dealer was notified by the Ford company that the next delivery date for the next convertible mustang would be the end of June/Mid July 05, So I guess I am lucky and can hardly wait to get it.

I have ordered a torch red convertible GT fully loaded. minus the side air bags and the pounding 1000 watts stereo (I will leave this to the younger generation). I will have put on the double stripes and the Row Bar and side strips on it... This will be my toy that I always wanted..

Hope the snow will be all gone by then!!!

I ordered my GT Convertable on March 1st. Torch Red, all upgrades and options + switch out with chrome GT wheels and tires with raised white lettering and an auto day/night mirror.

They told me to expect delivery june/july.

We will see...

To the Canadian expecing delivery in March... did it arrive?

I ordered mine on 2/15 and was told end of March, Mid-April. Mine's a priority 15 which sounds pretty low, and it has no VIN yet so I'm expecting it to be late. The owner of the dealer has been checking on all of his GT orders and has not been getting much in the way of answers - although they are trickling in.
Do you folks know the priority on yours for comparison?
BTW, I ended up using the X-plan, but prior to getting that, they sold it to me at $1500 under MSRP - which, from what I can tell, is pretty close to the X-plan anyway.

I ordered a Sonic Blue loaded GT convert on 3/4/05 from a pretty big dealership in the Denver area. I was told 6-8 weeks for delivery, but after looking at all the posts on this site telling stories about the overwhelming amount of orders that are taking much longer than that, I'm not going to hold my breath. I tried to use my 'A Plan' (Ford employee/family) but the dealer said 'no way, MSRP only'. I also have access to the 'X Plan' through my employer which I think I will try to use when and if the car finally arrives. I'm crossing my fingers in the mean time. There's still a fair amount of snow here in the mountains of Colorado, so I can afford to wait for awhile, but not too long I hope.
