Default Has this ever happened to anyone else?

Twice now as I got in to start the car my shaker 500 didnt work, it was like all the speakers were muffled and a lttle bit of static even with the volume turned all the way up you could barely hear it. after I shut the car off a couple of times it went back to normal???

Never had a problem. Either take it to a dealer, or check for bad fuses

sounds like an easy fix for the dealer or mechanic, i'd say fuse or bad wiring

Mine did it to. It's like the internal amp did not turn on. It gets worse. Soon the radio will quit and then work agian and everytime you get in it may be something different. Take it to the dealer. I have been waiting 8 weeks for a new radio. Keep getting told it's on backorder. Called Ford's 800 number and complained. They got back in touch immediately and started working the issue and called in a week to notify me they located one and was sending it to the dealer. 3 weeks later they called to see if it was ok and I said "what's ok" she said "your new radio" I don't have a new radio. "I'll call the dealer" she said. 2 more days and still nothing. Starting to get pissed. I got the woman at the customer service good though. She said "I'm sorry they are showing on backorder" so I said " It must be costing Ford a lot of money with all the Mustang production shut down" She said " Were still making Mustangs." I said " Who's going to buy Mustangs without radios" The phone went silent for a while. She got my point. That's when she said "let me see what I can do" Obviously not much.

Nothing, but bad things is what I always hear about Shaker 500. I'd take it to a dealership, got it replaced, sell the new one on ebay and get myself a real CD player.
