Default 2007 mustang GT change ring and pinon

I have a 2007 mustang GT 5-speed 3.55:1. I would like to install 4.30:1 ring and pinon gears. What do I need to do to the computer?? Do I need to adjust the speedometer in the computer. How can I take of the speed limiter also. Thanks

you will need an xcal or predator to adjust the gear setting.......and 4.30 is alot to bite off.....make sure you really want it and dont want to drive 80 on the highway ever again for an extended period of time

I would stick with (max) 4.10's.I think4.30's are too much; if you had a 6-speed different story. It's your stang brother, do what you want or try them out if you don't like them try 4.10 or even 3.73...

you have 4.10:1 correct ratio you think 4.30:1 is too low. I thought because for 1/4 quarter miles times using only the first 4 gears, then coming to the end of the quartermile in 4 at 6000rpm Does that make sense I thought 4.10 would be too high

If your car is going to be strictly for 1/4 mile, i guess it's ok, i've never had 4.30's my 4.10's were perfect, but when i upgraded to whipple, all that torque + 4.10's fried my rear tires, even with 3.73 i still lite 1st & 2nd up (i need DR's) Try them out my friend, gears aren't that expense!
