I don't think they are needed. I ordered onem just for the looks vs functionality.

 

overall concensus is sway bars, its an old topic. The way this car is made, the brace does virtually nothing besides asthetics.

 

I have the BMR brace, looks awesome, but the only thing that I have noticed is FEW noises in the front dash?? or hood area have gone!!

if they actually worked i would think they would create some NVH.....any time you stiffen the car up in some way, it will be a harsher ride with added noise IMO....but then again, these would actually have to work to do that.

 

I seem to remember reading they were unecessary on the S197's much like 157db stated.

 

They arent needed......its been beat to death on the forum.....i do like how some people that have them agree that it doesnt do much and if it is its just the placebo effect, most people who have bought one swear it is doing a great job at making the car stiffer....
