Strut Tower Brace

RE: Strut Tower Brace
ORIGINAL: FyouGitive
I have the BMR brace on my V6 convertible. It resoved what I estimate as 60% of the dreaded cowl-shake effect over a very disruptive section of rough (I mean ROUGH) road near here. Not perfect, but very dramatic reduction of the out-of-control sensation.
I'd guess a strut bar isn't necessary, but had definite benefits in convertibles, not so much in coupes.

You provided the best answer to that thread sir, since you mentioned the verts.
And yes, convertibles need extra stiffening.

RE: Strut Tower Brace
verts needs extra stiffening? so a strut brace is most beneficial for verts?
It just so happens that I have a vert... can someone explain to mea bit why this applies to verts more so than coupes?
