Default Strut Tower Brace

How much of a difference does it make? Is it worth it?

I have the Strange Development brace. Looks cool, but no discernible difference in performance.

What's the whole premiss behind these braces?

prevents the body from twisting as much when your cornering. Is it the 200 dollar scam?

IMO get better sway bars and you'll get a lot more for your money

Of course it does something! We just don't know exactly what w/out a supercomputer monitoring various chassis sensors.....

It was a must have on the Stangs of the sixties.
But not a must have on the S197s.
Curious to see if SCCA Stangsuses them.[&:]

Weighs down the front end and lightens up the wallet area.
The S95s needed them and the only good ones for the S95
was a three point kind that ties into the firewall. On a S197
the body is much more rigid and the 2 point shock tower ?brace?
attached only with ??slotted mounting holes?? is pointless.
How much bracing can it be providing if the mounting holes
are slotted? Welded in, maybe. But how do you work on the
engine with it trapped in there? Do it the last thing after hopping
up the suspension to warrant a 3 point strut tower brace. The stock
fluid dampened front end will show no improvement with the cheapo
dress-up grade 2 point strut tower "brace" (weight).[:@]
Of course with everything, there will be others (who have one)
that will claim its like night and day and improved the cornering
enough to warrant the costs associated with obtaining one.
Kinda like the butt dyno can show an improvement with
other costly do nothing mods. Like a Throttle Body Spacer.....
