Default Car going in tomorrow for investigation

Taking the car into the Stealership for them to confirm that the diff groans on a turn (Because apparently I'm not qualified to use my own ears ).

Hopefully i won't get any crap about the Blower as the car still has under 10,000km on it, but I'm not banking on it. The TSB might save me, we'll see.

Was wondering though, I've heard other cars with groany LSD's, so apart from the noise, is the diff really "on the way out" or is this just a case of the noise alone being bothersome? Got to say, it's doesn't really bother me, but if i can get it done on the back of the TSB then darn it, I will.

The groan probablyis harmless & the repair will leave your LSD less effective. If they hassle you about the blower just dump another bottle of friction modifier in the rear & it will probably stop. Easiest way is to remove the vent on top & pour it in, worked for mine.

Why will the repair have a negative effect on the diff? [&:]

The friction in the clutches is causing the groan, less friction less groan= less lock up between the 2 wheels which is why adding some more friction modifier helps, it makes the clutches more slippery. Ford will soak the clutches in modifier before they install them to keep them quiet. They may just add it to the rear & see if it helps without doing anything else, try it yourself cause you don't want them road testing your supercharger.

My car was doing the same thing...low speed turn groaning.....I took apart the rearend and discovered one of the clutches was bent. I replaced all the clutches with the FRPP carbon fiber GT500 clutch pack and haven't had any more issues

Update.
Car went in andthe tech confirmed within 200 yards that the clutch pack was crap. Service manager said they'd swap them out for the updated ones all on warranty

I decided to go with the FRPP Carbon versions however so I will have to pay for them (Parts only).Only bummer is that they don't come with warranty of any sort.....

Still, a good result. No worries with the blower or any other mod related silliness.

What the TSB also says to do is to set them up loose. With mine we made really tight and the problem has not returned.
