Default Warranty questions

I was wanting to put a CAI and tuner on my car and have been told it would void the emissions part of my warranty. How many of you guys have had problems with the dealers dealing with these parts. I really dont want to mess with the warranty ( I only have 400 miles on the car) but I want to add some stuff to it if I could. what else can I do to it that wont effect my warranty.

Default RE: Warranty questions

It does not void the warranty. The only thing it may void, is if anything is damaged from the cai.

The safest approach is to put everything back to stock if you need to take it to the dealer for service. This means if you are on a road trip you should take your stock parts and tuner with you in case you have problems on the road and need dealer service.

Try a few dealerships in your area ... some are more tolerable to aftermarket performance parts then others... if you reload your stock tune then the dealer won't know any better ~ J

When you reload the tune back to stock it does a reset so the dealer will think the battery was recently disconnected.
