I was wondering the same thing. I'm getting ready to purchase a Cervini's Type IV Ram Air hood and wanted to now if water would be a problem and if the ram air would work with my Steeda Cold Air Intake.

I had the WMS ram air intake on my '05 GT before I sold it, and I never had any problems with rain. It was my daily driver rain or shine.

I've got the Shaker scoop & have driven in quite a bit of rainstorms, have not had any problems. It does have 4 drain hoses to channel out the water. I'm more concerned that I'll suck up water from the fenderwell driving through large puddles. So far, haven't had any issues. Had my CAI on over a year & the Shaker since Feb/March.

I've got the Cali Dream Hood and Airaid intake on my car since June 07, it's my daily driver and I've got caught in some Biblical type rain storms without any issues. I actually get water in along the side edge of the hood, nothing from the hood scoops.

Ok, here are some links I found at another site:

http://www.allfordmustangs.com/forum...r-install.html
http://www.allfordmustangs.com/forum...ang-ram-2.html

I have an aftermarket intake, so I guess the best route would be to leave an open hole?

I have the CDC shaker and drive in all kinds of weather. It is my daily driver. No problems with it. The CDC shaker actually feeds into the normal filter box. So I guess if it were to take in any extra water it would empty at the filter box as the normal intake is at the bottom of the box.

No problem with my Shaker or air cleaner box.
Even though it's functional (but not that efficient), water has a long way to travel before getting in the box.
