Default Am I running to rich????

i have a JLT II with bama 93 race tune and a SCT tuner. every time i turn on my car i get an intense exhaust smell with a hint of gasoline, is this normal with my tune? if not can i fix it with my tuner or do i have to get bama to fix it? thanx for the help.

Im not even sure that B ama could fix that ... I would def call/ email just to see -- I know that a dyno can as they can add 10% here or 10% there... my stang spits a little gas from the back every now and then but thats cause I have no cats

You can add or take away fuel with the tuner, i would not do this though since you could be running lean at the wrong RPMs......

A little smell of gas when you first start the car is OK.....you are operating in a open loop setup and it will be rich until the car is warmed up properly.....then you will go to a closed loop system and the a/f should lean out to the proper setting.

Redsox, if it's just a bit of black like you say that sounds pretty normal. I would e-mail Doug and see what he thinks.
