i have been thinking about doin this my self for a few weeks now!.. so i think im going to do it!..

looks great.. but now i have a question for you guys...

the little "flasher" or whatever is making the LED flash.. do you think there is a way to tap that one and hook up two other LED's on seperate wires so that i could run them to different areas of the car?.. that way i dont have to buy 3 of them!..

i was thinking about mounting them on the pillars, and one on the cetner console where the map lights are..

let me know what you think..

I think your car is going to look like a Christmas tree.

I'm thinking a dummy video camera would be a better deterrent.

my buddy had his car broken into while at work twice in three monthes. So, he decided to take some back. He taped razor blades all over the wires to the back of his head unit. Well, it happened again. He ended up with a smashed up dash (the thief took a fit) and blood all over the inside of his car back to the drawing board i guess

LOL!! I've heard stories of the "razor blades behind the head unit" but thought it was an "urban myth". Glad somebody took it to heart. I f'in hate theives.

My car has the "active anti-theft" system (blah-blah) and has a little red indicator light on the gauge cluster that blinks red with a lock icon. However, if you've ever looked into an S197 from outside you really can't see the gauge cluster because it's so far back into the dash. I guess if you're a really perceptive theif you would see it but I have no idea why Ford placed it there...

157db- do you know what wire color code or where the ford anti theft wire is that leads to the dash? i put red alarm leds in another car once just by taping into them.. looked pretty good. i don't want to rip out the whole dash just to find one wire...

you're gonna need a bigger cat. one like the cougar in talladega nights would suffice. unless they could hide their fear, like Ricky Bobby did. lol!!!!
