Default Return K&N 33-2298?

Before anything, Yes I tried searching. I think that search engine doesn't work right, I looked up K&N and nothing came up :S I'm pretty positive that has to of been posted on here sometime right? lol.Anyways yea, Part number 33-2298, our stock form filter. Cost me $60, anything on this filter that makes it worth keeping? Why is it a waste of money? (points to howarmat :P)

P.S. If there was a threat about these filters, sorry for making a new threat, but I just couldn't find it .

I believe the drop-in K&N filter is considered to have negligible gains, if any, and I personally suspect it's filtering capability over your average paper filter. Regardless if I'm on target or not, you'll find that most here on the forum will tell you to put that $60 towards other mods. If you're looking for one hell of a bang for your buck, choose and buy a cold air intake and tune. This combo will really wake up your Stang to the tune of roughly 20-25 HP.

And keep practicing using the search feature. It works (not as well as it could, though).

I guess if you don't want a cai then this is a good filter.
You paid $20 too much for it though.

There's nothing wrong with it. I wouldn't expect much of a power boost though. I had one for a while before I went with a K&N Aircharger. No complaints, made the intake sound a little better.

Cool, thanks guys! Off to Autozone I go lol

And btw, the search feature, when you select a forum to search right? Do you just click it on that one list? I do click it but I feel it doesn't really select it

i installed one and it seems a little more responsive with it, and the intake does sound a little better but i doubt any h.p. gain. i am just staying stock with no tune or cold air intake in my future.
