Where is the RPM cable
Hi Guys.
I'm installing a data logger in the car and need to find the RPM signal from the ECU. I don't want to have to go tunnelling into the engine bay unless it's unavoidable, so anyone know where I can pick it up in the under-dash area?

Dont know about in the passenger compartment but you can use one of the wires from coil pack, same as if you were wiring a shift light. See picture below:
I used the one on the drivers side closest to the firewall....you cant even see it really and there is a opening to the passenger compartment right in that area so its a short run for the wire.

red i think, check tacobills raptor install to be sure though
Edit: The #8 coil pack has different colored wires than that pick shows, Tacobills post has an entire walk through of what you need to do though.
