Best way to fix "scuffed" paint? UPDATE: worse than I thought

RE: Best way to fix "scuffed" paint?
Paintless won't work, as the metal is now stretch on that body line. And also, it's not even sure that they can get behind properly without leaving tool marks.
07 Stang is right, they'll have to clear coat the whole panel until you find a break line... In that case, pas the roof line all the way down to the windshield. But that's commun sense.
Sorry about your misfortune. Make sure you find a good shop, it's an easy fix but the paint has to be spot on.
And $600 is fair, but don't pay more.
Good luck.

Paintless dent removal is the way to go.I did the same thing to my 06 , only worse .
Ask around and find a good guy .My guy buffed it out for me too, and You cant see any sign of damage.
A good rule of thumb when buffing out damage is to start with the least abrasivecompound and continue with slightly more abrasive until the damage dissapears, then polish and wax.On My shelf, I have ,in order of abrasiveness.
Polish , Dupont fine cut compound , medium cut compound , and heavy cut compound. I use them all by handand go slow .Get them at a body shop supply store.

I have had good luck with turtle wax bug and tar removal. It takes a little time, but with a soft clean cloth it will take away paint [sm=smiley32.gif]scuffs. I do see a small dent, this will most likely need to be repaired by a shop,
