I do not believe a new GTO can net a 10.80 n/a - not today and not in a million years.[sm=noooo.gif]

Not to mention after looking in your sig - I would love to see a vid of you running a 10.83 on the stock motor with a 175 shot...

 

GTO's are ok... But you'll never pull any tail in an ugly turd like that! Mustangs (especially s197's) make pantys drop!

 

The GTO is an o.k car at best... I wouldn't spend the money on it if I was going to stray from Ford, but if I was...then I would have to go with the Challenger...

Thats the GTO. I test drove a GT stang and a GTO( 05) the same day and after driving the stang, i just drove it home cause i liked it so much. The GTO was nice, but didnt appeal to me knowing they had a newer version with the LS4 with 50 more hp stock even thoit was one of the nicest shifting auto's ive driven. I see a few around that do flyby's by me in my GT( none wanna race?)and they sound sweetwith straightpipes! -Jon

 

I actually do have a video of it running 10s on motor. I thought the guy was pulling my leg and then ran 9.70s next round after turning on the bottle and I watched him do it or I wouldnt have believed it myself. I will post it as soon as I can figure out how to upload it on here

 

First off, my dad had a 67 goat, and to be honest I'm kinda partial.....to the true muscle cars that is. These new gto's look like crap, and the first year they came out they had no hood scoop and single exhaust which in my mind would make some of those old goats laying around in a junkyard "roll over in their graves"! You can't carry a name such as GTO and dirty it up like that. The newer gtos are definitely an improvement, but still a fat cavy to me. As for the mustang, it has stayed true to it's heritage, and that's american muscle. As for that picture posted above? And you thought they couldn't get any uglier?

I had a similar post with the same story awhile back.
The only differences in our story is it was a 520 HP S197.
It was my first time with a 500+ HP car also (17 yr. old too)
It blew my mind. Ever since i've been waking up in the middle of the night to find myself driving an invisible supercharged mustang lol.
