BMR Lowering Kit - Input PLZ!
hi guys-
so i've been dying to lower my pony, but cash has been tight, especially nowthat i bought winter tires/wheels. xmas is right around the corner, and i was thinking of getting the bmr lowering kit to begin my suspension upgrades.
here's the link:
http://www.stangsuspension.com/store...idproduct=1315
and the info:
BMR Lowering Package Includes:
[ul][*]Lowering Springs (Part # SP009)[*]Upper Strut Mounts (Part # SM001)[*]Camber Bolts (Part # FC001)[*]Adjustable Panhard Rod (Part # PHR006)[*]Control Arm Relocation Brackets (Part # CAB005)[/ul]
so, i know some folks have posted before, and i believe they had positive things to say about the kit - my question is whether or not this is a good place to start? i'd like to do further upgrades in the future once the money is there, but will the bmr kit put me on the right track? is it ok for me to just run the kit and nothing else, i.e. new shocks/struts?
thanks!

RE: BMR Lowering Kit - Input PLZ!
I have bought this kit but I have not installed it yet.
It’s a good place to start; you can get it at lmperformance for $500 + shipping.
LMperf seems to have cheaper shipping the stangsuspensions.com as well.
http://www.lmperformance.com/7786/73.html
If you can swing it now pick up a pair of BMR adjustable lower control arms to go with that lowering kit.
It will help with the wheel hop and will be needed to correct pinion angle of the differental.
Some will say it is not needed and others will say it is,I choose to error on the side of caution and install them.
LM has them for $260 + free shipping, http://www.lmperformance.com/5364/73.html
Like you I don’t have wads of cash lying around so I have been buying my parts over the last couple of months.
I almost have everything I need now as I am doing the whole rear suspension like others here have done.
Just be fore-warned that it is a disease and once you start you can't stop but,I am sure you already know that judging by your mods you have now.
I am in for $1,760 in suspension parts to date counting the drilled and slotted rotors that I didn't need but couldn't resist the group buy.
I still have another $800 in parts to buy and that doesn't count the cost of install on some of the parts that I won't do myself.
Look up posts from F1Fan and CrazyAl; these two guys are the authority on s197 suspension.
You will find that F1Fan is into Steeda parts while CrazyAl is more install BMR and will recommend some Steeda.
I like the BMR stuff as do many others and that is what I have chosen.
Here are a few good places to start your research:

Good luck man!!

RE: BMR Lowering Kit - Input PLZ!
I have the BMR kit installed and couldn't be happier. The best part about the kit is you get everything that is required to lower the car properly. I tried to piece the kit together and couldn't get the parts cheaper separately. I bought from Stang Suspension and had an excellent experience with them. They are absolutely an A+++ vendor. The only thing I wish I would have done while I had the struts off the car is buy the Tokico D-Specs and installed them at the same time. So I will be taking it all back apart soon.
