Default Help search for axle back recommendations

Cannot get "search" function working. Need recommendations on which axle backs give deepest WOT sound with the
least 2K RPM drone. I prefer 4" rolled slash-cut look like the MAC's but Brenspeed says their deep WOT sound means
drone at cruising speeds andPypes Violators are good compromise. I like the looks of the MAC's best but really don't want the drone. Whadduthink?

Borla stingers sound the best, but the drone is definitely there. If you have a stick, you can just shift to a lower gear to eliminate the drone.

JBA axlebacks sound good also, but they are quieter than stingers.

I have the Pypes Violators - they do have a definite drone at 1800-2000 RPM. I see you have a 5sp, they might be ok for you because the drone goes away above 2000K. I would not recommend them if you had an automatic, since autos run in the 1800-2000 range quite a bit. There are several people on this forum who had the Violators and then got rid of them do to drone...but like I say, it is only a problem at lower RPMs. If you do mostly highway driving they may not be the best choice.

Tell you what, the flowmasters don't get a lot of respect on this forum, but I love the way mine sound. Not too loud at idle, virtually no drone and wicked at WOT

(Turn up volume!)

Try this on for size. Its my favorite of all the exhaust Ive sampled so far. The video actually sounds like the real thing.
Itsnot quite as loud as FRPP/Stingers (especially at idle) but it had no drone that I could detect from the shotgun seat.
Also there have been several independent tests where it actually adds a little power (unusual for an axle back).
Its very nice quality. Its $499 w/ free shipping through the end of the month.

I'm very happy with my Flowmasters. Not one bad thing to say about them. Get lots of compliments on them. No one can say that one muffler sounds the best, that is for YOU to decide.
