This can happen with any LTs,

1) Do you have the 1 5/8 or 1 3/4? The 1 3/4 tend to have this CEL more often that the 1 5/8
2) I believe Brent and Doug both can prevent this CEL from coming on in their tunes now.
3) Let the car warm up before driving to help prevent this.
4) As far as I know there is no real harm with the CEL you just have to clear the code.

I have the smaller diameter tubes for NA vehicles (1 5/8? - I stink at math [&:]). My tuner guy adjusted some fields and got rid of the code but then 2 days later it came back. Now it remains there every time I start up the car until I clear it. I'm sure it's not a catastrophic problem - but god forbid there's a REAL problem, then I wouldn't truly know. Thanks for your help Matt and everyone else!

I always just let my car warm up. Haven't gotten one since I started letting it do that fully.

I think this code has to do with your front o2's on both banks being further downstream in the exhaust than from the original stock location. The o2 transport delay can be adjusted in the tune to correct this. Most tuners will know how to make these minor adjustments to the tune for longtube headers.

exactly correct! The problem is that the O2 sensors are further downstream and it takes them longer to sense any changes the PCM makes in AFR. Since it's taking the sensor longer to sense the change, it swings it further and eventually hits a point that the PCM basically says "ok, something is screwy here." and throws a CEL. Its a very minor adjustment that can be made in your tune, and it should have you back to normal. Leaving it that way is not the greatest idea. The larger oscilation in your AFR under normal conditions will cause alternating rich and lean swings, which will shorten cat and O2 sensor life.
