Mine usually turns read between 15-20 miles left.

 

The miles till empty is estimated based on the average of the last 500 miles mpg. So if you drive it hard for a few tanks and then cruise for one it will say less mileage when you will get more.

 

OP - Fill your gas tank completely and you willbe fine.

I used to run my tank dry in order to switch from 87 to 93 when I would race. If I only put in a gallon or two in, the predictometer(my name for it) would not move.
