Default Anti-Theft System

Visited the dealer yesterday. I think my skipping Shaker 500 issue is gone. They were johnny on the spot.

I've been thinking my Anti-Theft system is not working. They agreed, couldn't give an answer right away, I had somewhere to be.

Little light flashes in dash. Keyless thing locks and unlocks doors. Trunk. Double hit on button makes flashers flash and horn honk. Unlock double hit unlocks two doors, but, the only sound is the doors unlocking. When you turn key to start car, the little red flasher in dash goes out, apparently signifying all is well.

However, the window/key trick to make them go down doesn't happen. Same goes for the remote. Shake, rattle and roll, jiggle handles, no signs/sounds of displeasure from the car.

Anybody else? Get it fixed already? What did they find?

I paid $225 for "Active Anti-Theft". It's on my window sticker.

Nothing happens, because nothing is supposed to. If, you actually opened the door, Then it would alarm. Try this, leave your windows down. Set alarm, wait 30 seconds. Then, stick your arm inside the window and shake hand. ALARM... That's the motion sensors working for you. Or, set your alarm, then try to jack up the front or rear end. Alarm will go off again!

Darn!!!!
that horn is loud,

per your description the system works like a charm!!!!!

Turn key to right and hold and both windows roll up!!!

I gotta tell you, this board is one GREAT resource!!

Thank you for sharing the knowledge and thank Ford for a fine Automobile.

For one reason or another I got the alarm to go off when I was waving my arms around inside the car. Still can't the the windows to roll up.

Think one thing is that you need to push the lock button twice, quickly, less than three seconds?

BY "turning the key to the right" I'm thinking you mean "clockwise"?
