I've had the both the Autometer and the SOS and definitely recommend the SOS. The SOS just looks cleaner and it tucks in alot better than the Autometer, which means its not all up in your face like the the Autometer gauge pod felt. I was a little hesitant about getting the SOS at first, because the design felt kinda weird since its not what we are used to seeing in an a-pillar pod, but now i'm totally happy with it and it looks wayyy better than the autometer.
I could not have said it any better. Your statement perfectly summarizes the origin of our design. Back in '02, my partner and I were tapped to do a gauge install in a Procharged 01 Cobra vert. We found there were no vert pillar pods, and the other solutions all looked cheap and plastic-y, not right for this highly polished show stopper. We agreed, we'd make something.

And no one knows better than me that our part might not be everyone's cup of tea. No one will get a hard time from me about not liking one of our products, provided they're respectful about it. I try to offer a good variety of original options, appealling to a wide range of personal tastes. But, I know I can't please 100% out there. Wish I could...

I don't think you will regret going with the SOS. One thing that impressed me was the quality if service by the manufacturer, which is like a two man crew. I had a totally unrelated question and the reply I got from him was very satisfactory. I've also seen the SOS guy come on these forums and answer questions. He totally encourages you to message him with ANY problem you may have with his stuff. Even if I didn't have one of his products I would still recommend him strictly based on the way he handles his customer base, which is top notch customer service.
Really nice of you to say, thank you.

Luckily, problems are rare and usually a quick phone/email fix away. I find it easier to fix things instead of point fingers. Saves everyone time, haha.

SOS was born on Internet forums like this one, and to see our products become one of the benchmarks for quality means very much to us. I sincerly appreciate all those who support and recommend our work. I promise we are working as hard as we can to keep earning our reputation.

FWIW, it's cool by me that you prefer the AM pillar. Besides, pillars aren't my only trick!

Off topic, but you can expect some mail in the near future Dave. Back from PRI and in the shop. Production runs are complete, and we're just focused on gift shipments. I'll have some time to make them this week or weekend.
