If looking for a great all around rim size for looks and most improtantly performance I would go with 18's. I have the magnaflow magnapacks and love the sound....deep and loud at WOT but subdued at idle and cruising speeds. I am thinking of getting HIDs as well but would get them from the manufacturer until all is right and a good cut off is established from the projectors (or other avenues) JMO but WELCOME TO THE FORUM!!!!!!! This is my 1st post. I've had the 06 for over a year now and put 18k miles on it, no racing. I also own a 95 RX-7 with an LS1 that pumps out 430WHP. I love the car, but it has to go. I am using some of the money for minor mods to the car, maybe pony up and go full Kenne Bell, dunno yet, depend on what the mrs. says, LOL.

Anyway, I was thinking on getting the car some nice CCW wheels, the SP500, unsure as to what size still, any recommendations? Also on the list is a set of suspension mods, still dunno which one since I am relatively new to the modding the stang thing. Eibach? Ford Racing? Exhaust is next, going for just a catback for now. Magnaflow? Borla? Basani (spell check), which one sound better? Or give better gains?

Ahh, and lets not forget, the infamous HID's, LOL, I am going to get roasted for this but I got used to them already with my RX. Real HID system, not some wacked out kit pieced together from various cars. I am looking for one that uses real HID projectors, etc. I searches and came out with mustangmod, but they say no-no HIDs with their headlights.

Anyway, its good to be here and with a nice car that does not feel like its falling apart with every creek and crevice on the road.

Oh yeah, I am searching, not new to the forums, so I know, I will keep using the search feature.

I am staying with 18's. CCW SP500, I wante to get those wheels for my RX, but I ended up with Forgeline, also good wheels.

As for HID's, yes, I am not buying a kit if it does not come with projectors, like OEM style. THe kits sucks and disperse light all over. Go to hidplanet, there is a ton of info with regards to HID systems and how they should be done properly if you are going the retrofit way.

I've been listening to the clips, very insightful thread. Thanks

Yes, you are right. X-pipes connect both sides of your exhaust. There are H-pipes, and there are X-pipes. Ask anyone......X-pipes make exhaust noise very raspy, poppy, ragged, and tinny (like your mufflers are made out of empty Chef Boyardee ravioli cans). On the other hand, H-pipes make the exhaust sound deep and aggressive. There's much more to say, but you'll learn as you read threads.
