There's a few different adapters available for IPOD players. I emailed two companies that make them, and asked if they had ZUNE adapters and found no luck. The companies were in another thread about a week ago, about hooking up an IPOD.

I'm doing it the cheesy way until I can find an adapter. I bought the FM transmitter. It wasn't working correctly though, a lot of interference. I bought a male-to-male wire (both ends look like the end of headphones), plugged it into the AUX IN port on the transmitter and the headphone port on the ZUNE. It doesn't charge when listening to it in the car this way, but it plays the music clearly.
I dunno about you guys, but mine's really soft when I have input from the AUX IN on my '07. Whether I have my XM Radio, or an iPod, or my PSP, or any other device connected, it sounds really muffled. I'd almost say it was the cable, but I've tried several different cables, and it's not great. Then again, it may be because I have the cheapo stock radio, and not the skipper 500/1000.

I'd decided that I was going to replace the stock radio from the start anyway, so I didn't want to put any extra money into the upgraded radio.
Have you tried turning the volume up in the device you have attached? When I plugged my ZUNE in it was soft and quiet and I couldn't figure the problem out. I finally realized just a few days ago to turn the volume up on the player.........BIG difference.
Got 'em full blast on the line out from the devices...

Oh well, only another few weeks and then I'll be getting a new head unit.

I hooked up my PIE frd04 last week & it rocks, I had pie send me the newest chip for it version B12. Open yours up & make sure its up to date. I used constant hot for the radio not the power plug. The power plug shuts down after 45 min & may cause issues (or may not) but I used these directions for getting constant power.

I'm pretty sure they don't make these for the ZUNE.

I had one of the older PIE iPod adapters. It worked extremely well for about 6months, then completely fried all my dashboard hazard lights (low oil, abs brake light, etc). I had read previously that this had occured with the PIE but decided to wait and see what happened.

Last I heard they did a recall and the product was pulled from all the shelves. I will give them credit, since they also took everyone's PIE that caused problems and refunded the money spent. I got mine prolly 3 months ago. At that time, I do know the product was shown as not available for 2005 and plus mustangs. I only checked this minute to see if things had changed again after seeing this post. Personally, while it is more expensive, I am leaning towards the branmotion that I have read alot about. It is $75 more than the "updated" PIE, but I gotta wonder ifperipherial have indeed fixed the problems it caused previously.A link to the brandmotion onecan be found here: http://www.brandmotion.com/products-ipod-adapter.php

Take this info for what its worth. I give Peripherial credit for not trying to dismiss anyone wanting a refund reguardless how long they had their aux iPod adapter. I can also say that before it blew my dash lights out I really didnt have many complaints about it.

******Note of useage advice*****:
Some advice on using these though: I have in excess of 20000 mp3's as well as over 1k of music videos. I have never loaded more than 1k worth of music on the ipod. For ease of use while driving, I STRONGLY suggest making a folder in itunes on your car's ipod for your most listened to music (or newest or whatever). I usually make it "favorites" or "driving" or something like that. Also in itunes, I even more strongly suggest that while viewing the music onyour ipod list (this is stuff that you loaded from your library on your computer and now into your ipod), you DELETE any "album" reference from the info. Even without even remotely using all the space on the ipod, it was a bitch and a half searching for a particular song going through the menues and getting to "album" and seeing three or four choices of a particular artist and not having the faintest idea which album the song I wanted to listen to was from. With the PIE, you had to completely start OVER, which TOTALLY SUCKED. The ability to scan through "artists" was slow as hell and you couldnt just "hold" the button down to scan. You had to push it every time to advance from artist to artist....Now, even with the 700 or so songs I had loaded, when I wanted "pink floyd" and then got the wrong album for "wish you were here" and had to then freaking start all the way back in the selection of "playlists" then "favorites" then "artists" then navigate all the way back to the "P's", you can see what a pain making a mistake can be.

I dont have any affiliation with either company so you can rightly assume that I have no "loyality" issues and am really only stating my opinion.

The pie frd04 is not onlyfor anipod but is for anything that has a headphone out jack so your Zune will work great. I use my creative muvo in my 06, it works great.

I had one of the PIE aux inputs. It SUCKED!

I installed it perfectly. Zip-tied the box off, tapped a wire vampire-style. It worked fine for about 2 months. Then it started randomly not working, as in I press the aux button and it says "No Auxillary input" or whatever. It would do that once a week or so, then after a month of that it just died completely. My car is an 06 GT vert, and I bought the adapter in like June or July maybe. I just got in one of the ones that's advertised on the top of this site to connect my ipod. It'll allow me to control it via the head unit, and the ipod will be stashed in the glove box, and it'll be charging, too.

I'll post a review when I actually get the unit installed. Seeing as how the car is garaged for the winter, I might go out when it warms up a LITTLE and install it. Either way, I'll keep you all posted.
