I've personally got 5% but it sounds like thats going to be too dark.

Personally, I wouldn't go any higher than 15% all around, especially on Satin Silver.

I'm not sure what part of Cali you're in but you can't have the front 2 windows tinted at all here in San Diego. Most shops will tell you that when you purchase it -- not to mention that I have been pulled for it like 9284237408 times and the cops all the samething when I get stopped "as dark as you want on the rear window but nothing up front on the drivers or passengers window".

ORIGINAL: blike

I've got 20% up front, 5% in back here. No pictures, but I haven't been pulled over for it in CA where the legal front is 65 or 70%

Man that sucks in Cali, whats the point at all? That would look ghey with just the back tinted.

The guy who did my tint had his Van's front windshield tinited.. he had a 10% stripe across thetop then went and tinted the entire windshield 50%, I couldnt tell that it was tinted at all.

I can tell you as a Law Enforcement officer, the only officers in North Carolina that really bother with tent are the Highway Patrol. Local police dont really bother with it, so just do it at your own risk. As to the person that said what are a few tint tickets, those add up quick, so keep that in mind
