Yep.. 20% is the magic number.

I had 15% on my last stang and I couldnt see ****! I had to setick my head out of the window everytime I backed up at night! I'm thinking 20% is still a little too dark. I dont see why anyone would want 5% [sm=shades.gif]

 

Are you Ray Charles? I can see fine at night, sure it's harder but I can still see. I live in Florida, having a Black on Black car, you need 5%. I'm still debating on pulling the trigger on doing my windsheild 55%.

 

You must be bragging or your tint guy is lying to you. 5% at night the only thing you'd be able to see are any lights that are behing you.

 

Yup, I'm bragging. Have you ever had 5%? I've had it on all of my vehicles and like I said I have no problem seeing and backing up at night. I will admit sometimes at night going around a sharp corner in a residential area, I will roll down the window down just to be sure. But, it's not as bad as you make it out to be.

 

5% all around would be too dark and a cop magnet. If the cops can see a contrast between the back and the front, then that is at least an indicator to them that you might be trying to keep it legal. Like I said, I am currently 35%, 5% and am changing the front to 20%

 

that "cop magnet" statement is completely false. I've had 5% all around on all my cars and never once been hassled about it.

 

Sure 5% looks good but when im driving around i kinda like to see whats going on around me WITHOUT having to roll down my window especially when im messin around with other cars...

 

I wish i had a pic to show you but i got 5% on the rear and 2 little side windows and 15 on the drive and passenger side windows. Does any1 ever get the tint strip on the front window anymore?
