You can forget about getting your money from the truck in front of you. They are not responsible for rock chips, and it's backed by most state laws since a lot of people where suing companies for rock-chip money. You can read those warnings every time on the back of trucks, especially trucks hauling sand / stone.

And other people, hell... I wouldn't even try and bring it up. They'll say no, and drive away. And there isn't a thing you can do about it. It's "tough $h1t" if you get hit by a rock... But i'd take those over door dings (which are a pain in the ***, and so easy to prevent if you open a door with care) anytime.

You're not gonna believe this one........I was in front of my House talking to a Friend, I mentioned to him about the different type of threads we have going on. I mention this one, and I point to the spot on my Roof to show where you had this little chip...........and Incredibly I have the exact same thing...in the exact same spot!!!!!!
I was flipping out....what are the odds of that.

Best advice is to do a touch up paint job. I have had 4 incidents on my car and have owned it for less than a year! All on the same side luckly a lady hit me for the 3rd one AND HER INSURANCE TOOK CARE of it. But then in less than 30 days i got another scratch, but my car is a dd. i have since then threw up a white flag on the knicks and dents war i am just gonna save up and try to get a complete paint job with stripes next winter.

Dude, thats crazy! Big question - What are you going to do about it?

Thanks for all of the advice guys. I still have some time to think about it (it's stored high and dry in a garage for the winter).

I'll just hit it lightly with some fine emery, and apply a little touch up to it.
