ANYONE HAVING LUCK WITH ORDER DATES??
Just talked to my dealer. Order was bucked yesterday for production the week of April 11th to the 15th. Then two weeks shipping. Should be in my hands the End of April. After telling him about all the bad stories that I have read at this site he said they are all true. He said that a dealer has allocation from Ford on how many they can get each quarter. He told me that when I ordered mine he had not allocated all that he had. He recomonded others to specifically ask thier dealers about their allocation problems before ordering. There is no problem or delay if they have allocation slots avaliable.
So I ordered mine the 23rd of Feburary, got bucked the 24th of March and should have the car around the End of April. Very soon I can join the club of proud Mustang owners and not just be a pretender any more...
Sometimes things just workout the way they are supposed to.

I FINALLY go a VIN from my dealer. I spend all day calling that 800 number for Customer Relations (800-392-3673) and got absolutely no where. The damm number was always busy.
I went into the Ford web site and send them an e-mail with the VIN, hoping to get a response from these guys as well as a politically correct manner in letting them know how unjust it is to wait four months for a car after the order has been placed.
Hopefully, I will get a response from them. I will let you guys (and galls) know what Ford has to say...

I only have two dealers in Alaska, both cant get anything. I would go to the lower 48, but Alaska doesnt have sales tax.

You can still go to the lower 48 and tell them that you are going to title the car in Alaska. They can't collect tax on something that is going to be used in another state. Call one of the dealers and they will tell you correctly.

Glad I didn't have to, either. That saved me a bundle. Of course, we pay one way or another. Our property taxes suck.
