Ford told him that they will be sending letters out to 40% of people who have current orders that their cars will not be built. Ford is too far behind on orders and these orders will come out when the 06's start comming out. I thought he was joking but he said he was serious. this is bad. good luck for those who have orders.

It truly depends on the dealer.
The LUCKY ones hit a dealer who is way short of their allotments of stangs and are moving other cars well.
The Unlucky ones hit a dealer who has exhausted his allotment on not only stangs but other cars as well creating a backlog of orders for the dealership.
I'm in St. Louis, I quized several dealers and fortunately the ones around me are pretty honest and upfront about their ability to get the car. Most of them around me are overrun with orders for the stang. The only thing you see on the lots are base model V6's IF you see one. Lucky for me (Maybe!) - the company I work for is owned by a man who also owns a Ford Dealership in Jefferson city - So I used that "Clout" to cut a deal with that dealership. I ordered my car on 03/01 so it is too early to tell if I made a mistake or not.. my Priority is 21. The dealership is the largest in that town and moves trucks like mad, so they should in good favor with Ford.
Wow... that dude ordered on 3/7 and is already serialized with a build date! how lucky can you get!???

I guess you might be refering to me. Yes I was real lucky to have a build date already. I was given the impression that when I ordered it would not be in untill the end of May or first part on June. But it looks to be sometimes towards the end of April.

I ordered my GT in mid Feb and checked yesterday. No surprise that it was still clear/unscheduled. I was told I may have to deploy with the military sometime in the near future and may not be here when my car arrives. My wife said she would pick it up for me. I thought she was joking..All I could do was just stare at her. She just doesn't get it. Or may be she does. In any case that $hit aint gonna happen. [sm=boohoo.gif]

i was informed today that my priority # was 12. does anyone know what that means in relation to time? i realize that 10 is the best you'll see, but how big of a difference is there between 10, 11, and 12? thanks!

Well my dealer just called me to let me know my car is in!!!!
I had ordered on 11/9 and rec'd VIN @ 5-6 weeks ago.
I have to wait another day or 2 for it to be prepped and inspected.
DAMN! Well the weather is finally getting nice so I think I should be
having some fun real shortly

p.s.- I ordered the GT with IUP
