Default RE: Rims / Springs / Struts .....soon to be installed

Looks great!!

I'm in the same boat as you sort of. I have had the rear roush springs for 2 years now, which I got from Stage 3 also. In the spring I will be installing the front springs and D-specs all around. I sent an email today to Stage3 about price matching troyfordracing about the front roush springs, and got an instant response.

"No problem, we have a more sets of the front coils coming in
thursday/friday of this week. Call me and we can do 130.00 to your door."

He beat em by bout 2 bucks

Doesnt hurt to send an email. I would rather do business with a sponser like Stage 3, and they were great to do business with on the rear springs. I am tempted to see if they can do $503 on the D-specs which I seen on ebay.

I'm surprised you are getting rubbing. I ran 255/45/18 F1 GS D3's on the stock fanblades for 2 years and no problem.
I also have a new set of F1 Supercars F 255/45/18 - R 285/40/18 going on after winter. They will lose alot of traction in sub 45-50 degree temps, they are not an all season tire.

Enjoy, shes gotta be a blast on the curves now!

looks great. those tires are not going to be an "ultra high" grip tire for spirited driving conditions. try a potenza 750 or an so3 for high gripping capability.

I'm guessing the wider tire, the large offset (50mm), and the lowering springs all contribute to the little tire rub.

Nice email work! Glad they matched. The only issue I had with stage 3 was that they were very late in shipping my shocks to me. I had to call them about it, and the guy said they only get one pallet of stuff from Roush per month (I think), so they were waiting for the next pallet to arrive. That's fine, but they should have contacted me.

I would beg to differ with that. "Ultimate, ultra high performance tires"
OE on Vettes and GT500.
They just dont have the greatest treadwear, and not meant for colder temps, like he said he was driving in.

Yeah, I figured it was the cold temps.......mid 40's.

That's ok though because I'm very picky about when and where I drive aggressively. If the back end tries to come out a little, I should be able to rein it in.
