Next most important gauge
It is a daily driver. Only thing it will be hauling is @ss. My experience is with Toyota 4x4 pickups and SUV's so the trackwill be a new experience for me, but I will get on the track as soon as summer weather permits.
I've seen comments on other forums about an EGT (Pyrometer)being a pretty useful gauge for tuning purposes. It should be a pretty good indicator of whethertiming and fuel are within a safe margin of error. Too lean or too much timing, and youshould seethe result on an EGT gauge.

Diesels need them because they're always in boost and when hauling heavy things youre going to be running a constant 15-20lbs of boost.
So for a DD car and half track car IMO you dont need a EGT gauge

Heat = #1 bad for your motor
Especially with a turbo, monitoring heat is the primary concern IMO...
After the pyrometer, I would do oil temp and fuel pressure.
